Lia Thomas is the varsity women’s swimmer everyone has heard about from PENN who is winning all of her races by handfulls of seconds in events that are usually decided by tiny fractions of a second. This would ordinarily be front page news everywhere in the world of sports. But as you all know by now, there’s a catch.
Lia is transitioning to her new life as a woman. She’s clearly not there yet. Just take a look at the photos above. They reveal the problem with M to F transexuals competing in their new gender category. The problem is that the anatomical features that matter most to athletic performance were aquired when Lia was a young man named Will. Just look at the pictures. Shoulders to die for, eh Michael Phelps?
No matter how much hormone manipulation he was subjected to in the last year or so, it all occurred after his ideal swimming frame was constructed. That means she might lose some chest hair (which will make her faster, ironically) but she is still going to have advantages of leverage, torque, muscle mass, and length of stroke that make it unfair for her to compete with women. It’s a form of cheating, in a way, for a male to identify as a female before a big sporting event or season and demolish the female competitors.
I can’t magine any man doing this so I’m willing to give Lia the benefit of the doubt even though she is supposedly attracted to women (see below) and still has her male genitalia (see above). Does anyone honestly believe it is right for a person who still has their male genitalia jumping into a pool with a bunch of women? I don’t think I’m going out on a limb to say her body looks much more like the male swimmer behind and to her right than it does to any naturally-born woman in the history of NCAA sports. Just put her in a male Speedo, said no-one, ever.
I don’t think Lia will be getting rid of her male genitalia anytime soon…
What is going to happen when an equally-medoicre, male #3 college tennis player decides to suddenly identify as a woman just in time to enter the qualifiers for the US Women’s Open Tennis Championship? No man would be willing to suffer the humiliation of wearing a dress on court and answer to the press, let alone his friends and family, you say?
Think again.
For $2.5 million, cold cash? Breezing through the draw for a couple of weeks of no-stress tennis could get addictive. “She” would probably finish out the year and pocket $9.475 million in prize money, in just the four majors, let alone the rest of the season. Think of the endorsements from the “Woke Industrial Complex” I like to call it (and the title of my third next book). Wouldn’t it be a great opportunity for a corporate giant like the Coca Cola Corporation to show the world how virtuous they are by sponsoring this “brave young woman facing society’s disapproval for just being ‘herself”? It might even divert attention from the role Coke plays in the ongoing and exponentially-increasing worldwide obesity and diabetes epidemics.
This will not go unnoticed by some of his old college competitors who are struggling financially with their $39,000-a-year assistant pro jobs; especially those who used to lay waste to him in three quick sets on the Har-Tru.
Then, everyone will jump in. It will become a running joke for young male athletes to declare themselves women and enter these lucrative professional women’s events. Imagine a good-but-not-great college golfer, used to playing to a “plus 2” on his school’s 7400-yard course, entering the 6700 yard US Women’s Open in golf. With his 330 yard drives giving him a half-wedge into every par-4 and 7-iron second shots into all the par-5’s, he might shoot 27-under-par after four rounds and win by 18 shots.
Goodbye women’s sports.
All that hard work pushing Title IX. Ironically that killed a lot of mens sports and now men will get their revenge on women’s sports, right in front of woke eyes. USTA won’t test them. After they make their millions and destroy the hopes and dreams of many young women, they can change their minds and retire as the men they were. I hope it happens. Something needs to wake people up.
1970's tennis. Renee Richards, Virginia Slims women's pro tour. Played all events, US Open, Wimbledon etc. For several years. Watched her/him play in New York event in late 60,s as Richard Raskind. Was very good Men's 35 & over player. Already happened.
