You will assuredly be more displeased with yourself for leaving things out of the book, than any of us are for having to wait. It’s worth the wait, to have everything documented, because you are writing the history that won’t be written in any mainstream media. Take care, get rest, and be gentle on yourself 🤗
Thank you very much for saying that. My consolation is in telling myself you guys would rather read the ultimate history of COVID rather than an abridged version that is missing important elements and wait a little longer for it than to get less than my best effort sooner. Thank you!
Absolutely. We, who are living through covid-mania will hopefully have learned enough to not fall for the same BS, but this needs to be documented properly for our future generations. And it’s me who should be thanking you for helping expose those truths!
Eight hrs a night… granted like you as a surgeon I had 49 yrs of interrupted sleep - even little things like a nurse calling at 1 AM to say “Doctor - Miss Jones in 29b can’t sleep - can you give me a telephone order for a sleeping pill”——— I can’t tell you how many hundreds or thousands of those calls
You are preaching to the choir, Dr. Feldtman. And I do feel for you because I know how much it hurts. I'm getting to- actually I'm past- the age of retirement but I'll probably keep going until I keel over in the operating room one day. Some of my colleagues who have stopped had trouble at first but are now pointing at me, laughing, from the ski slopes and golf course. I'm just not there yet.
a couple of my friends left the OR feet first, dead on a gurney... I swore to not suffer that fate..I would never laugh at someone who enjoys and continues what they are doing. I asked a high school buddy "when to retire??" after he did (as an anesthesiologist) to care for his wife with dementia... Dr Al said... "Just don't wait too long." Wise man. made an impact on me. We are both the same age, went to high school same class.. and both are enjoying our families much more than during our work careers.
Your work is of great value; your health and well-bring is of much greater value. Breathe, take time for self-care and stay in the present moment. Let go of any worries about leaving something out or missing a self-imposed deadline. Find balance and quiet the mind. Allow the process to unfold and trust in the Divine nature of your inner self and your message. Thank you!
Take your time! your work is extremely valuable and the subject of covid and upside down health care is on a mission to create a new pandemic. Time isn't an issue but getting enough rest is.
