It helped my in plastic surgery a little but not in general surgery where I was below average. That's why I switched to plastic surgery. I hope I'm above average there. In heart surgery, I'm not sure but I've never had a complication I'm aware of.
I'm old enough not to give a fig for vanity...and my GP was a wonderful man who was driven out of business because he was Lyme Literate and gave out HCQ...But one of the last things he did for me was to excise in his office a lipoma and sew it up after...so I woudn't have to go to the stupid skin doctors and have to wait and go through more crap. Did it in his office, I went home happy it didn't take an entire day on an assembly line...and if I could I would throw my arms around him and thank him from the bottom of my heart...the damn skin doctors made more scars than he.
Not everyone cares about pretty! Sometimes just getting the job done matters more! and I daresay you are a terrific surgeon.
Yeah, you're right. I got into trouble when I stopped looking closely at the original. The changes I made are more pleasing like more detail in the hair down the sides of the face, a straighter nose, a longer right pinky, etc. I'll fix them.
May I add another point for consideration? Mundi's right hand is bent a little backward. Look at his wrist, also compare your wrist and Mundi's wrist on the picture you show them next to each other.
I may be wrong and it's only an intuition but to my mind, given this bend, it'd be even more unlikely to see the fingernails.
Incredible painting!
Thanks. I'm not happy with it so far but I can fix it..
Honest to God, your ability to see is amazing...and probably made you a really great surgeon.

Walter Isaacson’s, on the other hand, not so much. . .
Artists are always their own worst critic! Amazing work, from my perspective...not an exact replica but more pleasing on the eyes than the original.

Very discerning! I much enjoyed this. Thanks.
